Leadership Certificate
Certificate
Submitted by the School of Public Policy leadership coordinator Dr. Phillip M. Thompson
I. Leadership Certificate Objectives
The objective of the leadership certificate is to assist students in becoming skilled, ethical, and visionary leaders. The leadership certificate is awarded through the School of Public Policy, but it is interdisciplinary in its pedagogy and course requirements. In these classes, students will develop the ability to analyze the social, political, economic, cultural, global, and technical dimensions of a wide array of leadership issues. The leadership certificate is recognition that a student has acquired specialized knowledge of leadership theory, key skills such as teamwork and communication, and the ability to apply and refine their knowledge and skills in a leadership internship.
