Luciano Kay

Luciano Kay is a Ph.D. student in Public Policy. His specialization is Economic Development and his interests are industry, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He works as a research assistant with the Georgia Tech Program in Science, Technology and Innovation Policy. His present work is related with university-industry technology transfer and the emergence of nanodistricts in the US.

Mr. Kay’s academic experience includes research related with metal-mechanic and furniture SME clusters, and extension work in activities related with entrepreneurs and SME support and academic knowledge transfer promotion.

Mr. Kay’s professional experience includes working in the retail and banking industries. He also worked as an independent consultant for private and non-profit organizations, always in relation with SME in Argentina. He always has had an entrepreneurial mind and has participated in different new ventures. He holds the degree of Licenciado en Adminstración from Facultad de Ciencias Económicas, Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), and a secondary-level degree of Técnico esp. Mecánica-Eléctrica from Escuela Industrial Superior (EIS – UNL), both from Santa Fe, Argentina.
