Elena Berger Harari is pursuing a PhD degree in Public Policy with a major in Science and Technology, and a minor in Energy Policy. Her academic and research interests focus on Research, Innovation, and Energy Policy. Originally from Brazil, Elena Harari has worked for 13 years in a French multinational company leader in the chemical and textile sectors in Brazil, with exposure to business to business, marketing, competitiveness analysis, and strategic planning. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and French.
While in the United States, she has worked as business consultant. Major accomplishments include: (1) Roadmap of high-technology clusters to identify business opportunities for Canadian firms willing to invest in the Southeastern states; (2) organization of the Tenth Georgia Tech Global Business Forum 2004, exclusively dedicated to Brazil; and (3) a series of cross-cultural business awareness sessions to American executives being expatriated to Brazil, and to Brazilian executives coming to work in the United States.
